The DeltaSpot system
Fronius DeltaSpot spot welding systems are available in two versions, each with two power categories. All spot welding systems are supplied by Fronius as complete systems, in other words “ready to weld”.
DeltaSpot robot systems for automated welding
All Fronius robot welding guns for the DeltaSpot process are made of high-strength aluminium materials and can withstand high demands and stresses, particularly during aluminium spot welding. These welding guns were developed in cooperation with existing customers in the automotive industry. For this reason they are the systems of choice in the automotive industry and deliver the highest welding quality.
The main bodies of the robot welding guns are modular in design. This means that all welding guns, regardless of whether they are in “X” or “C” configuration can be supplied either in a left-handed or right-handed version. The welding arms are individually adapted to the welding task. A variety of different gun arms are already available.
The “C” version of the Fronius robot welding gun can also be used as a stand system for manual operation. A standard robot C-gun is mounted on a specially constructed stand system. As this is a robot gun, a suitable safety enclosure is also supplied. The welding process is identical to that of a robot system. The only difference is that the user initiates the welding process using the foot-operated switch provided.
This system can be operated as a robot system at any time using the optional interface and appropriate hosepack. The Fronius Xplorer operating system allows the user to set all the parameters easily and intuitively and gives them complete control of the system.
